Three year PhD fellowship at the Institut de Physique Nucléaire d'Orsay (IPNO), CNRS and Université Paris Sud. The ALICE IPNO group is offering a 3-year PhD fellowship starting October 1, 2015. The group is strongly involved in J/Ψ and charmed hadrons production analysis and also has responsibilities in the Muon Spectrometer detector operations. The successful applicant will work on the analysis of charm (D mesons and J/Ψ) production in pp and Pb-Pb collisions of the LHC run-II. Participation in running the experiment at CERN during data taking periods and contribution to service tasks for the Collaboration are also expected. The applicant will benefit of the dense scientific research network p2io-labex (http://www.labex-p2io.fr/) which is co-funding the fellowship. Application including: - a cover letter, - a CV, including a list of publications (if any), - a copy of the diploma and/or University scores, - two letters of recommendation, should be sent to Dr Christophe Suire (suire@ipno.in2p3.fr). Applicants are expected to hold a master degree in particle or nuclear physics at the time of their appointment. The annual gross salary is 19800 euros. The application deadline is May 1, 2015.
